Polish soprano Anna Simińska has sung Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte around the world in major theaters including Opéra national de Paris, Vienna Staatsoper, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Hamburg Staatsoper, Komische Oper Berlin, Washington National Opera, Staatsoper Berlin, Dresden Semperoper, and Oper Frankfurt. In the 2022-23 season she returns to her signature role in her debut with Teatro Colón. She also returns to the role of Gilda in Rigoletto and sings performances of Carmina Burana with Polish National Opera. Last season, she joined both the Vienna Volksoper and Opéra de Montréal as as Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte, and next season she sings further performances of the role in her San Francisco Opera debut.
Siminska’s concert appearances include Carmina Burana at the Wiener Musikverein, AIDS Gala at the Deutsche Oper in Dusseldorf, gala concerts in KKL Luzern, Alte Oper in Frankfurt and in Concert Hall in Baden Baden. She also took part in Life Reimagined gala in Royal Opera House Covent Garden next to Bryn Terfel and Sonya Yoncheva. Additionally, she was invited by Antonio Pappano to participate in documentary Pappano’s Classical Voices produced by BBC next to Anna Netrebko, Joyce DiDonato, Jonas Kaufmann and Diana Damrau.
Ms. Siminska was born in Lodz and studied at the Frédéric Chopin Music Academy, Warsaw, and at Graz University of the Arts. She made her international debut in 2007 as Adele in Die Fledermaus at the Schlosstheater in Schönbrunn, and is a former member of the Salzburg Festival Young Singers’ Project.
